It has been more than five months since the University of Maryland Medical System assumed ownership of the what is now known as the University of Maryland Laurel Regional Hospital.

UMMS announced a $50 million investment to revitalize the facility. At the February 26th City Council Work Session, UMMS will brief Mayor Craig A. Moe, the Laurel City Council, and the community on the progress so far, and future plans.
